To ensure your proposal aligns with our mission and funding capabilities, please review these eligibility requirements before submission.

What We Consider

What We Don't Fund

  • Political campaigns or partisan activities
  • Projects that could cause environmental harm or exploitation of vulnerable populations
  • Projects with discriminatory practices or objectives
  • Initiatives primarily focused on religious proselytization
  • Proposals with insufficient detail about implementation or impact measurement
  • Projects with a history of financial mismanagement or ethical concerns

Funding Ranges

UHAFD provides funding across a wide spectrum, tailored to project needs and potential impact:

  • Humanitarian: £10,000 - £2,000,000
  • Development: £50,000 - £5,000,000
  • Investment: £100,000 - £500,000,000 (with 1.5% equity stake)

Application Process

Our transparent, systematic review process ensures that every proposal receives fair consideration.

Step 1

Initial Submission

Complete our online project proposal form with details about your organization, project concept, desired outcomes, timeline, and estimated budget requirements.

Step 2

Initial Screening

Our Projects Team will review your submission to assess alignment with UHAFD's mission, eligibility criteria, and current funding priorities.

Timeframe: 2-4 weeks

You'll receive an email notification about whether your proposal has advanced to the next stage or requires additional information. Initial screening feedback will highlight strengths and areas for improvement.

Step 3

Detailed Review

Projects that pass initial screening undergo thorough evaluation by our specialized teams who assess feasibility, potential impact, sustainability, and financial viability.

Timeframe: 4-8 weeks

During this phase, our team may request additional information, schedule interviews with key stakeholders, or conduct due diligence. We encourage open dialogue and collaborative refinement of proposals.

Step 4

Decision & Agreement

Final funding decisions are made by our Investment Committee. Approved projects receive a detailed funding agreement outlining terms, reporting requirements, and disbursement schedule.

Timeframe: 2-4 weeks

Upon agreement acceptance, initial disbursements are typically made within 30 days. Our Partnership Team will work closely with you to establish communication protocols and monitoring frameworks.
